Love Hurts

ABOUT

"Love Hurts" is an age old idea. There have been songs written about this idea, and its truth is something that unfortunately, none of us can avoid. The idea for the love hurts shirts was sparked by heartbreak, but ultimately the growth that came with it. Love hurting also represents the sacrifice that one must offer up for the joy that ultimately love will bring. Its an interesting duality, and a theme that will hopefully spark some thought.

THE DESIGNS

The first design was the lips with the vampire fangs. The image of the lips to signify love, and the fangs to signify pain. Other iterations of the Love Hurts theme include the Doberman with the human heart in it's mouth almost offering the heart to its master as tribute. Lastly, we have the actual anatomically correct heart with word "all" written across it which symbolizes the importance of the heart as the driving force behind love and an overall passion to live this life.  

THE SHIRTS

The shirts we use are a cotton blend that come in a variety of colours. The design is a direct to fabric transfer which allows for a vibrant range colours to be added to each design. We went with a lighter fabric that is soft to the touch. As we evolve we foresee adding a heavier cotton t-shirt to the range as well as hoodies.
